About Me
Hello. My name is Jonathan, and this is my personal website. This short section will just tell you a little bit about me and my background. It’s probably very pretencious, embarrasingly offensive and filled with junk you already knew.
Brief History
I was born in Bury St Edmunds, and grew up there until I went to University (UEA) to study Computer Science. After leaving UEA I worked for Virgin Direct while working on a MSc in Number Theory. I was soon after head-hunted to work for a startup Cryptography firm who needed a junior cryptographer. That company was then bought by De La Rue, and I became head of cryptographic systems. I then met my future wife, and quit the job I was in. We married, and had 2 children. I became interested in the fields of sugestability and persuassion, and soon stumbled (with more than a little help from my wife) upon NLP and Hypnosis. I still keep myself up to date with I.T. and am currently learning C# for .NET and Python.
What are your interests?
I enjoy going to the cinema, listening to music, gardening, cooking, hypnosis and meditiation, magic and sleight of hand, and my family!
What do you do for a living?
I currently have two jobs that I juggle part-time. I am first and foremost a Personal Change Consultant. This title sounds very vague, and this is on purpose. I use NLP and Hypnosis to help people change aspects of their life they want to have more control over. This includes and is not limited to Phobias, Weight Control, Pain Control, Smoking, and other behavioural changes. Why not take a look at my bussiness website www.entrance.me.uk.
During the times when I am not helping others I am spreadbetting (wiki:spread betting). This is a form of stock trading which incurs no tax. The leverage inherent in spreadbetting means that I can make money in several minutes, simply by studying charts. I currently bet on UK stocks and the Dow Jones E-mini Future.
Where do you live?
I currently live between 2 homes. My home in the UK is situated in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK. In fact with my spread betting, it makes little difference where I am on the globe. Our other house is in Cecina, Tuscany, Italy.
